Court #FairnessChallenge

In April 2021, hundreds of judges and other professionals from dozens of courts nationally spent a few minutes each day participating in a national #FairnessChallenge.

fairness “teeny course”

Through 12 short lessons delivered via email over four weeks, participants learned about and reflected upon the procedural fairness framework and were prompted to try new practices along the way.

fairness “exercise calendar”

Each day, participants adapted and implemented a recommended practice from this exercise calendar when interacting with members of the public. For professionals working remotely or with limited interaction with the public, they adjusted the practices for their interactions with their colleagues.
